Problem
Economic consultancy needed to integrate a daily flow of macro-financial data with a range of sources, frequencies and accounting bases.
Results
The integrated system is in daily use by the client and is woven into the consulting team’s process. Routine updates are easily managed by the users themselves, and the system can be extended for new functionality as needed.
Actions
I developed streamlined manual processes, fully automated where possible, to onboard daily data using provider APIs and standardized data formats. I brought data into a coherent accounting framework, using tools of economics to align data across currencies and frequencies. I created feeds of output analytics and visualizations, including polished slide decks for delivery as well as ongoing internal use.
